Job Description

Salary: $76,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Proven knowledge of the construction or HVAC sector
  • Familiarity with control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems
  • Experience in programming JCI software
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating low voltage building subsystems using various industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet)
  • Capable of conveying technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Proficient computer skills required, especially in drafting software
  • Willingness to travel regularly
Responsibilities:
  • Design and configure technically sophisticated building control systems as outlined in contract documents
  • Develop and test software programs to ensure operational compliance with project specifications
  • Coordinate and produce essential drawings and equipment schedules for submissions and installations
  • Select, order, and monitor the delivery of materials for designated projects
  • Oversee factory-mounting processes to align with factory and project timelines
  • Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers
  • Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot alongside subcontractors and other teams for optimal performance
  • Provide field change updates to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software
  • Keep management and JCI contractors or customers updated on job progress and issues
  • Conduct site-specific training for owner/operators on the comprehensive building control system
  • Join in release meetings with the project field team
  • Perform value engineering for cost-effective solutions while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Potentially direct the work of Systems Design Assistants
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a high level of safety for employees and subcontractors
  • Travel is required for this position
