Get to Know Your Team:  

  • Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities:
  • The Practice Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the hospital owned physician practices.
  • Successfully manages the daily operations of the medical practices.
  • Enhances operational effectiveness and efficiency, emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing quality of care.
  • Recommends, develops and implements practice improvements.
  • Proficient in working with various Electronic Health Records, running reports and analyzing financial and other data.
  • Displays support of the institutional pillars through systems management, change management, and scholarly practices.
  • Ensures consistency with HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley protocols and standards of care.
  • Analyzes patterns of variance in practices and makes recommendations for evidence based practice changes to improve patient outcomes.
  • Identifies practice gaps and initiates practice changes supportive of evidence-based practice “best practices”.
  • Participates in policy/procedure reviews for updating policies and procedures.
  • Acts as a resource to staff for addressing clinical, process, and system opportunities for improvement which promote excellence in care and clinical outcomes.
  • Promotes a collaborative work environment which supports the organization’s mission, behavior expectations, values, and pillars (quality, people, finance, growth, and service).
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by VP of Physician Practices.
Qualifications:

Job Requirements :  

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience managing physician practices.
  • Must be proficient with Electronic Health Records.
  • Must be proficient with CPT and ICD9 coding and billing.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with physicians, personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree.
  • Master’s degree.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
